Honda Odyssey Recalls - Vehicles exhibit a misaligned timing belt tensioner pulley and may cause the timing belt to contact a bolt on the cylinder head

What is the reason for the recall?
Certain 2002 Honda Odyssey vehicles exhibit a misaligned timing belt tensioner pulley and may cause the timing belt to contact a bolt on the cylinder head. Eventually, the belt could be damaged and fail. If the timing belt breaks, the engine will stall, which increases the risk of a crash

What should you do?
Call any authorized Honda dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle inspected. The dealer will inspect the water pump, and if it is one of the defective pumps, the timing belt and water pump will be replaced free of charge. Please plan to leave your vehicle all day to allow the dealer flexibility in scheduling.
